       Currently, global swine diseases present a complex situation characterized by diverse types, frequent cross-border transmission, and accelerated viral strain mutations. Core threats include African Swine Fever (ASF), Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS), and Porcine Circovirus Disease (PCV), compounded by outbreaks of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) and Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea (PED), causing significant economic losses to the global swine industry. ASF has no effective vaccine, with a near 100% mortality rate, spreading to 71 countries and regions. Wild boars in Europe frequently carry the virus, while recent concentrated outbreaks have occurred in Asian countries like South Korea and Vietnam. Persistent environmental contamination has intensified control challenges, and the emergence of reassorted strains and vaccine-like variants further complicates targeted eradication efforts.  PRRS is globally prevalent, with the NADC30-like strain becoming the dominant lineage, frequently reassorting with other lineages. Traditional vaccines offer insufficient cross-protection, leading to reproductive disorders and respiratory issues, with herd positivity rates remaining around 40%. Mixed infections of Porcine Circovirus Type 2 and Type 3 are widespread, inducing immunosuppression and significantly increasing the risk of secondary infections. Additionally, FMD has repeatedly erupted in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other regions, while PED and Pseudorabies remain highly endemic in specific areas, with mixed infections by multiple pathogens becoming routine.  Countries primarily adopt enhanced biosecurity, active surveillance and quarantine, and optimized vaccination as core prevention strategies, while strengthening international cooperation to address cross-border transmission challenges.
